Robert Rivers, also known as Bob Rivers, was born on July 7, 1956, in Branford, Connecticut, and was an American rock and roll radio on-air personality. He began his career as a disc jockey in Connecticut, working at various stations including WAVZ and WAAF. He gained national attention with his album Twisted Christmas, which included the hit single "Twelve Pains of Christmas". The album was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America. He continued to release holiday-themed albums such as I Am Santa Claus (1993), More Twisted Christmas (1997), and Chipmunks Roasting On An Open Fire (2000). He also produced numerous non-holiday parodies, covering topics like pop culture and politics. His radio show, The Bob Rivers Show with Bob, Spike and Joe, aired on Seattle's KJR-FM until 2014. He passed away on March 11, 2025.
