Jessy Serrata, born on November 2, 1953, in Knox City, Texas, was an American singer known for his contributions to Tejano music. His career began with Agapito Zuniga and continued through various collaborations including Los Buenos, a group that featured his brother Rene Serrata. In the early 1970s, Jessy became part of the duo Los Chachos with Cha Cha Jimenez. Throughout his career, he released several albums, notably Better Than Ever in 2004, which was nominated for a Latin Grammy Award. His music featured collaborations with artists such as Steve Jordan and Oscar Hernandez y Los Professionales. He passed away on August 4, 2017.
