Biography

The Bingoboys, a group of electronic music producers active in the 1990s, was formed in Vienna, Austria. The trio consisted of Paul Pfab, Helmut Wolfgruber, and Klaus Biedermann. Their breakthrough came with their debut single "How To Dance", released in 1990. This track gained worldwide success after being picked up by Atlantic Records due to the efforts of Martin Neumayer and Matthias Schweger from Edelweiss. It reached Number 1 on the US Dance Charts in 1991 and peaked at number 25 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song featured collaborations with Princessa, a singer and rapper from New York, and incorporated samples from various artists. Following this success, their next single "Borrowed Love" reached number 32 on the Dance Charts and number 71 on the Billboard Charts, featuring Princessa again as well as Arnold Jarvis. Throughout the early 1990s, The Bingoboys had several hits in Austria and produced numerous national and international stars at their studios in Vienna. Their album releases include The Best Of Bingoboys (1991) and Color of Music (1994), along with mini-CD albums such as Chartbuster (1990) and Nature's Callin' '92 (1992). The group disbanded in 1996.
