Biography

Benedictum is an American heavy metal and power metal ensemble formed in 2005 in San Diego, California, that later relocated to Phoenix, Arizona. The group was established by Veronica Freeman and Pete Wells, who previously performed together in the band Malady. The ensemble released its debut studio recording, Uncreation, in January 2006 through Locomotive Music. The recording featured covers of the songs âHeaven and Hellâ and âThe Mob Rulesâ. The band performed at the Gods of Metal festival in Italy in 2006. The group's second studio recording, Seasons of Tragedy, appeared in 2008 and featured guest appearances by George Lynch and Craig Goldy. After signing with Frontiers Records, the ensemble released the studio recording Dominion (2011), which featured a cover of the Rush piece âOvertureâ. Its discography included the studio recording Obey, which appeared in 2013. The band became inactive in 2014.
