Biography

Barbara Acklin, who died from pneumonia aged 55 in 1998, was an American soul and R&B singer whose albums include 'Love Makes a Woman' (1968), 'Seven Days of Night' (1969), 'Someone Else's Arms' (1970), 'I Did It' (1970), 'I Call It Trouble' (1973) and 'A Place in the Sun' (1975). She was a co-writer on hit songs recorded by artists such as Jackie Wilson, The Peaches and Herb, The Chi-Lites, Dusty Springfield and MC Hammer.
