Banvox, a Japanese DJ and trackmaker from HyÅgo Prefecture, began producing electronic dance music in the early 2010s. His debut releases in 2011-Cut Music, Instant Music, Intense Electro Disco, and banvox VS yellowlabel-established an early presence in the EDM scene. In 2014, the album Don't Wanna Be topped the Dance chart for two consecutive weeks. The breakthrough came in 2015 when the singles "New Style" and "Watch Me" were featured in a Google Android TV commercial and later adopted for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, each reaching number one on several charts. That year, the EP At The Moment and the single "Summer" were released. In 2017, Banvox toured the United States, performing in Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, and Las Vegas, and appeared at major festivals including Ultra Japan, Fuji Rock, and Rock in Japan. In 2018, the EP Magic Is Happening and the single "Why You Gotta Do Me Like That" further solidified his reputation. The same year he collaborated with Yasutaka Nakata on "Level Up feat. banvox". In 2020, he remixed "Lupin The Third Theme Song" and "NayutalieN - Solar System Disco" for Hatsune Miku, showcasing his genreâless style. On April 17, 2026, he released "OB PKWY"âthe first single following his move to Bullmoose Records, the label founded by SKY-HI.
