Ãzlem Ãzdil, born on December 8, 1979, in Hannover, Germany, is a celebrated Turkish Folk Music vocalist and saz (baÄlama) player. She initially received her musical training in baÄlama and repertoire from her father, the folk poet Dursun Ãzdil. Discovered by Sinan Ãelik at the age of 17, she moved to Turkey where she honed her skills alongside masters like Musa EroÄlu, Güler Duman, Ãetin Akdeniz, and Güray HafiftaÅ. Ãzdil quickly became recognized in Turkey as one of the finest baÄlama players, particularly known for her vocal prowess and the Åelpe technique. Managed by Sinan Ãelik, she has released six Turkish Folk Music albums and four singles under Duygu Müzik. Ãzdil is also multilingual, fluent in German and English, with a good command of French. Her discography includes albums such as Uzakların Türküsü (1996), featuring the hit "Kainatın Aynasıyım" and Gönlüm DaÄlarda (200).
