Awoi was a Japanese rock ensemble established in September 2004. The group consisted of the musicians Otogi, Ryo, SAKI, Shou, and Sin. They achieved professional recognition for a musical style characterized as visual kei and melancholic. The ensemble was founded by Otogi, Shou, and the former musicians Ryouga, Mio, and Hiro. SAKI joined the ensemble in January 2005 following the departure of Mio. Their recording career began with the song âKokoroâ (2005) and the song âKoi Karasuâ (2005). The ensemble achieved professional recognition for the song âMakkura, Makkuro, Makkaaka na Yoruâ (2006) and joining the label FACE MUSIC in 2007. Their discography included the song âYuuyake KARASUâ (2007) and the song âNakunaranai Utaâ (2007) released on the sub-label BRAND'S RECORDS. They achieved professional recognition for performing at the festival Anime North 2013 in Canada. The ensemble achieved professional recognition for the studio recording BIRTHDAY (2012) and the mini-album FUTEKIGOU na Ringo (2014). The group became inactive on October 22 2014. The musicians Ryo, SAKI, and Sin achieved professional recognition for founding the ensemble for severe addicts only in 2015.
