Biography

Aural Float was an ambient music project from Frankfurt am Main, founded in 1994 by producers and DJs Gabriel Le Mar, Alex Azary, and Pascal FEOS. After establishing the label Elektrolux, the group released its debut album Introspectives in 1995 and became the soundtrack provider for the Bayerischer Rundfunk series Space Night from 1996. Subsequent releases included Freefloat (2001) and Beautiful Someday (2005), followed by the DVD Moving Images in 2006. Aural Float also remixed Paul van Dyk, Xavier Naidoo, A‑Ha, and Juli, while issuing Space Night compilations through Elektrolux. The group’s work on the Space Night series helped define late‑night ambient programming on German television.
