Biography

The Attacca Quartet, an American string ensemble, was established in 2003 at the Juilliard School by Amy Schroeder and Andrew Yee. The quartet initially included Schroeder on first violin and Yee on cello. Over the years, the lineup evolved to include Domenic Salerni on second violin and Nathan Schram on viola. Their repertoire spans from classical to contemporary music. Their album with Caroline Shaw, Orange, won a Grammy Award for Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance in 2020. The quartet continued their successful collaboration with Caroline Shaw, winning another Grammy Award in the same category in 2023 for the recording of Evergreen.
