Biography
Born in Grozny in 1989, Asche moved to the German Ruhr metropolis of Bochum with his parents at a young age. Born Amir Israel Aschenberg, as a teenager he mainly devoted himself to various martial arts. At the age of 16, he began to take an interest in hip-hop and wrote his first lyrics. As a young and motivated gangsta rapper, he released his first musical exclamation mark with "Das erste Mal" in 2008. The debut EP Mephisto, released in 2013, attracted a great deal of attention in the German hip-hop circuit. Two years later, Asche provided emotional and very personal insights into his childhood on Barcodes. After a creative break, the rapper returned in 2018 with tracks such as "CLS" (feat. SadiQ), "Kein Problem" and "Dschingis Khan". Musically, he now turns to a poppier trap sound with autotune vocals. His album premiere, Pandemonium, is released in the same year. Asche switches to Alpha Music Empire. The following year, the rapper accompanies his label boss and gangsta rap luminary Kollegah on his promotional tour for the album Alphagene II. Asche also provides vocal support on the tracks "YAYO" and "Offenes Verdeck" . For Asche, 2020 is the year in which he reliably mixes up the charts: while the song "Wir sind Täter" (feat. Kollegah) reaches number 61, "Sinaloa" alongside Fard and Kollegah even manages to jump to number 38 in the German singles charts. It is Kollegah, in turn, with whom Asche records the collabo opus Natural Born Killas in 2021. The album becomes his first number 1 hit in the German charts. His own second album, Was bleibt ist Asche, is also released in 2021. The longplayer marks the MC's biggest solo successes to date, reaching number 3 in the German charts and number 5 in the Swiss charts. He is now one of the spearheads of the local rap business. In 2022, Asche released another studio album, Sie nannten ihn Knochenbrecher. At number 4 in Germany and number 7 in Switzerland, it was again enough for top 10 placements. The rapper's sixth album, Lang lebe Asche, followed two years later. The album reached the top 10 in Germany (7th place), Austria (6th place) and Switzerland (9th place). At the end of May 2025, Asche released the studio album Barcodes II, which took the rapper to 5th place in both Germany and Austria.
