Biography
Andrew Russo, born on October 22, 1975, in Syracuse, New York, is an American pianist. He graduated from Fayetteville-Manlius High School and received his bachelor's and master's degrees from the Juilliard School in New York City, followed by post-graduate studies in France and Germany. Russo participated in the Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition in 1998 and founded Music Journeys Inc., a nonprofit youth educational foundation, at age 25. He also notably performed at the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 2001. In 2005, he became director of music at Le Moyne College, where he served as an artist in residence. Notable albums include Voice of the Whale (2002), Dirty Little Secret (2007), received positive reviews from Allmusic and The New York Times, and Mix Tape (2008).
