The Amar Quartet, also known as the Amar-Hindemith Quartet, was a German musical ensemble founded in 1921 by composer Paul Hindemith. Their breakthrough came at the Donaueschingen Festival in 1921, where they premiered Hindemith's String Quartet Op. 16.
