Biography
An off-shoot of Chicago, Illinoisâ Family Tree Crew, the hip-hop duo All Natural formed in 1997 when DJ Tone B. Nimble and rapper Capital D issued âWriterâs Blockâ. The underground and indie minded pair managed to sell a few thousand of their first album, 1998âs No Additives, No Preservatives. They waited three years to release their sophomore album, the jazz inflected Second Nature, which included appearances by fellow Chi-town artists as Spotlight and J.U.I.C.E. They would continue with other work and reunite every few years for a new All Natural album including 2005âs Vintage and 2008âs Elements (Fire).
