Biography

The expansive group of singers that made up erstwhile South Korean major leaguers Apeace previously held the title of biggest K-pop boyband, originally boasting 21 members, until they downsized to 15 members in June 2014 and eventually 12 members. Formed under Golden Goose Entertainment, Apeace were initially known as Double B 21 or Double B when they emerged in 2010 with the single "One" and the follow-up "SOS." After settling on their longstanding name of Apeace, they unveiled their debut mini-album in June 2011, "We Are the One," with the group split into three sub-units composed of seven members each. In 2012, their first self-titled studio album went to number 35 in Japan with Colors, also a Japanese release, following in 2014 and faring even better in the charts at number 20. Apeace continued to frequent the Japanese charts with subsequent releases like Brave to Wonder (2018) and We Are Apeace (2021) before their dissolution was announced by their Japanese agency CONTAINER. They called it a day in December 2021.
