Adrián César Chauque Tacacho, born July 2, 1956, in Tarija, Bolivia, is a singer and leader of the cumbia group Adrián y los Dados Negros. At age two, he moved to Argentina with his family and in 1981, he formed the group with his brother Santos. His breakthrough came with a performance at Fantástico Bailable in Buenos Aires on May 6, 1985. He released his debut album Volveré in 1988, followed by albums such as El Fenómeno (1989), El Gigante del Norte (1990). In July 1993, he performed in Chile, leading to a 17-year stay. His success also included over two million discs sold with "¿Por qué me siguen las mujeres?". Later releases include El regreso (2005) and El Amor de mi Vida (2019).
