A Roda, a traditional Galician folk group from Vigo, Spain, formed in 1976. The band released their debut album A Roda (1977), which included hits like "Pousa, pousa," "O andar miudiño," and "O gato." Their second LP, Falemos Galego (1979), featured notable tracks such as "Foliada do Celta" and "Falemos galego." In 1992, they released Eu teño un compadre, marking a shift towards original compositions, including "A gaivota." Notable works include Na branca noite (1996) and Outra Volta de Roda (2014), a book-album project released after the death of their leader Adolfo "Fito" DomÃnguez in 2012. A Roda received several accolades, including the Premio de la CrÃtica de Galicia (1978) and the Medalla Castelao (2020). The group continues to perform with a lineup that includes Alfredo Dourado, Juan Barcón, David Cabaleiro, Javier Castro, and Cristian GarcÃa.
