3 Mustaphas 3, a British world music band formed in London in 1982, consisted of core members Ben Mandelson (Hijaz Mustapha), Tim Fienburgh (Niaveti III), Colin Bass (Sabah Habas Mustapha), and Nigel Watson (Houzam Mustapha). The group was known for its eclectic musical style, drawing from various global influences. Their first full-length album, Shopping, was released in 1987. Soup of the Century in 1990 featured a diverse range of musical styles from around the world and was their most acclaimed success. Collaborations included notable artists such as Ofra Haza and Dembo Konte. They toured extensively across Europe, Scandinavia, Japan, the United States, and Canada. Their album, Friends, Fiends & Fronds, was released in 1991. The band ceased performing together by the end of that year.
